Agenda Item Summary:
This project is for procurement of filter media (sand and anthracite), underdrains, and troughs for the media filters at Mountain View Water Treatment Plant. The existing equipment is far past is useful life and requires replacement. Procurement is being recommended in advance of the installation contract due to the anticipated long lead times. Note: The condition and compatibility of existing troughs are currently being evaluated. If the troughs are determined to be compatible with other filter system improvements and are in good condition. We will not procure replacement troughs.
