Agenda Item Summary:
The Solid Waste Division is requesting approval to purchase a new baler to replace the 20 year old recycling baler. The purchase will be through Source Well at a total cost of $537,287.00 to the vendor Recovery Systems, Inc. Recovery Systems Company, Inc. vendor cost includes installation, training, start-up and one-way freight. The request for grant funding was submitted to the SDDENR thru Resolution 2019-020 and the Solid Waste Grant was awarded by the SDDENR. The Solid Waste Division will be reimbursed 50% of the documented purchase cost of the baler by the Solid Waste Grant Funding.
