The applicant has submitted a Rezoning request to change the zoning designation of the property at 5430 Wind River Road from Low Density Residential District 2 (LDR-2) to Public District (P). The property is comprised of 0.54 acres and is currently being developed with a lift station for the waste water collection network in the Highpointe Ranch area. Public utilities, including lift stations, are a conditional use in the Low Density Residential District 2. A Conditional Use Permit (File #23UR023) was approved on August 10, 2023 for the lift station. Lift stations are also a conditional use in the Public District. As per an agreement with the developer, the lift station is required to be rezoned to Public District before the City takes ownership.
