Update (01/30/2025): This item was continued at the January 23, 2025, Planning Commission Meeting to allow the applicant to post the required sign for public notice. Staff has verified that the sign is posted and public notification requirements have been met. The applicant has submitted a Conditional Use Permit to allow on-sale liquor in conjunction with a restaurant on the property located at 702 E. North Street in the General Commercial District (GC). The property is comprised of 0.52 acres and currently contains a building previously used as a restaurant that was originally constructed in 1962 per building permit records (Permit #27764). The applicant is proposing to serve a variety of beer and wine to accompany the cuisine served at a new restaurant, Sasuke Sushi and Steak House. The applicant has indicated the hours of operation will be Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for lunch service and 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. for dinner service and Sunday from noon to 9 p.m. The beer and wine will be served by staff from coolers located at the server’s station.
