Agenda Item Summary:
The applicant has submitted an Initial Planned Development Overlay application to allow an apartment complex to be constructed on three proposed lots within the Shepherd Hills Subdivision. The apartment development is to be known as the “Tallgrass Apartments” and will consist of 10 apartment buildings with a total of 607 units to be constructed in three phases. The proposed apartment buildings will include elevators with ADA access to all units and underground parking. The apartment complex will include a leasing office, clubhouse, outdoor swimming pool, detached garage(s), landscaped community greenways, pedestrian paths that connect with future phases of the Shepherd Hills Subdivision, dog park areas, outdoor seating areas, raised garden plots, gazebos and other miscellaneous greenspace amenities. The property is located east of E. Anamosa Street, south of Menards. Currently, the property is void of any structural development.
