Agenda Item Summary:
A vehicle crashed into the Police Department’s Southwest Police Precinct at the corner of Catron Boulevard and Sheridan Lake Road. The damage is extensive and needs to be repaired to ensure the safety and security of Police Department staff working in the building. A few hours after the crash, this contractor, who worked closely with the contractor who originally renovated this building in 2023, immediately came to the building and secured the damage so staff can still work in the building and PD property was safe.

This contractor was chosen because they worked closely with the contractor who did the original renovations to the building when the Police Department acquired it in late 2022. The original contractor was hired after a competitive bidding process. The original contractor is now retired, but is willing to help RCQC Construction work on the repairs and is familiar with the structure, the needs of the Police Department and the Department’s working operations.
