Agenda Item Summary:
During the regularly scheduled Rapid City Youth City Council (RCYCC) meeting held on the 9th of September, present voting members unanimously passed the following motion.
“The Rapid City Youth City Council approves the Bylaws with revisions as written.”
During the August Youth City Council meeting, a proposal was brought forward to reconsider the total terms that a selected Youth City Council member could serve. After discussion at the August 12th meeting, a workgroup was formed to create revisions and bring their work forward to the September monthly meeting.

Article III Section 5 – revise from three to four consecutive terms.
(A) Members may not serve more than four consecutive terms.

Article III Section 6 – revise last bullet point to be (F) instead of (E). No revisions were made to the actual wording of bullet point (F)

Article III Section 9 – revise bullet point (E) for spelling error and to change consecutive term from three to four.
(A) A new member selected outside of the regular term, filling a vacancy of an already started term, that serves seven or more months will be assessed as having served one of the allowed four consecutive terms.

Article IV Section 5 – revise bullet point (C) grammatical to add a comma

(A) In the event of the resignation or removal of the Vice-Chairperson, Secretary, or Treasurer, the office shall be filled at the next regular meeting by the regular Nominations and Election procedure and shall be for the remainder of the term.
