Agenda Item Summary:
Rapid City Fire Department strives to promote and maintain a reasonably healthy and physically fit workforce for the purpose of preventing undue health-related costs, facilitating employee safety, and assuring a capable and productive workforce. As such, has negotiated to provide NFPA compliant new hire and annual physicals with the 1040 IAFF Union. An informal request for proposal was completed with three area providers for this type of service. Monument Health is an experienced and qualified provider of these types of physicals and presented the most cost saving proposal. A professional service agreement will help ensure contract efficacy and cost savings.
