Agenda Item Summary:
Twice a year the staff presents proposed amendments to the City fee schedule. The resolution presented includes modifications to fees charged by four departments.

  • The Fire Department is requesting to update the state contract reference for their Wildland Fire Suppression Fees and to correct a typo in their ATV and UTV response fees.

  • The Community Development Department has noted that the parking rates will be increased by CPI-U Midwest Region or 2% whichever is greater rounded up to the nearest dollar as previously approved via previously adopted City Council resolutions. In addition, updates to the Municipal Code references are being corrected associated with parking fees.

  • The Airport is requesting amending their parking fees to provide revenue for renovation and expansion of the parking areas that will be included in the 2025 budget. The existing parking area has seen increased occupancy rates necessitating this improvement. The Airport Board has reviewed the amendment and recommends approval.

  • The Public Works Department has requested a few modifications to account for inflationary cost increases and recapturing processing fees:

    • -Addition of a 3% credit/debit processing fee to account for the cost associated payment processing
    -Updated disposal rates for residential customers
    -Updated fee for petroleum contaminated soil
    -Updated fees for tire disposal
