Agenda Item Summary:
Black Hills State University which was sponsoring the RSVP grant for Meade, Lawrence, Custer, Butte, Haakon, Jackson and Perkins counties has relinquished their grant. The City’s RSVP+ program is a well-established, successful program that has be in existence for over 40 years and wishes to apply for this grant. This application would be for the first year of a three-year grant. Grant award amount would be $82,500.

Funding Source & Fiscal Impact (if applicable):

Funding Cost Center
If awarded, grant will cover approximately 90% of this grant’s operating budget. There is a matching/in-kind requirement for the grant. It would be 10% for the first year, 20% the second year and 30% the third and subsequent years. Matching/in-kind requirements would be satisfied through private grants, donations, fundraising activities, office space, utilities and time from City employees.
