Agenda Item Summary:
The Rapid City Building Board recommends the adoption of the 2018 International Mechanical Code with amendments. This recommendation for approval intends to complete the adoption of the entire 2018 Code series along with the 2018 IBC, IFGC, IRC and IPMC. Those 4 Ordinances have passed second reading. The Building Board reviewed the proposed amendments to the Mechanical Code on 10 occasions in 2018. Also, staff conducted 2- 1 hour sessions on 2 different dates to accept public comment. All public comments were addressed by staff and the Board and are incorporated into this document.
