Agenda Item Summary:
This amendment makes updates to the contract for lighting maintenance. It allows a 5% price increase for 2025, as outlined in the original agreement, which included renewal options for 2023, 2024, and 2025. Right now, Traffic Operations is sourcing the equipment and staff needed to handle lighting maintenance in-house. Renewing this contract ensures there won’t be any service interruptions while that work is happening. To make the transition smoother, the contract is switching from a yearly agreement to a month-to-month agreement. This new arrangement allows the City to cancel the contract with Solar Sound Corp with 30 days’ written notice, once everything is ready.
