Agenda Item Summary:
The City of Rapid City has determined the need to install the variable frequency drive (VFD) equipment needed to replace the existing Well 12 VFD. The VFD equipment procurement contract was approved by Council previously. Well 12 is a critical water supply which provides service to thousands of customers southwest Rapid City. The existing VFD equipment has reached the end of its useful life and needs to be removed and replaced with new VFD equipment.
