Agenda Item Summary:
The City of Rapid City is seeking a 50% construction grant from the Board of Water and Natural Resources for a Miscellaneous Water and Wastewater project titled “2020 Miscellaneous Water and Wastewater Facility Type and Fencing Improvements Projects”. As part of the process in submitting an application to the State Revolving Fund for the project a hearing is required. This hearing will inform the public of the project and the use of grant money administered through the SRF program to finance the project as required for the SRF application. Public Hearing Notice will be published on 3/5 and 3/9. City Staff will follow up with City Council at a later date for approval of a resolution authorizing submittal of the SRF grant application. Conducting the public hearing and submitting the application in no way obligates the City to funding the project or accepting the SRF grant.
