Agenda Item Summary:
Specifically Bid items 7 and 8 were adjusted to better reflect actual conditions and indicates a decrease in the contract amount. Bid item 63 was created to allow for a material upgrade for buried leachate valves. Bid item 64 was created to place excess soil as a berm along the south property line instead of placing all the excess material in a stock pile. The berm will assist in confining and controlling windblown debris and compost materials on the landfill site. Bid item 65 was created to address an approach culvert that was needed near the south part of the property for storm water drainage. And bid item 66 was created to utilize fiber mulch. Fiber mulch was determined to work better in some applications for stabilization instead of straw mulch.
