Agenda Item Summary:
Staff is requesting to waive the Technical Consultant Selection Procedure and Approve Agreement Between the City of Rapid City American Engineering and Testing (AET) for 2017. There was confusion regarding renewal of the prior contract by City staff, as well as AET. Work has already taken place in 2017. This is a one year waiver of the consultant selection process policy. A new RFP will be put out later this year for 2018 and beyond. This is for monitoring for air quality, ground water, surface water requirements set in our various state and federal regulatory permits. There is an increase of 2% from 2016 to cover costs of environmental testing from independent laboratories.
