The applicant has submitted a Major Amendment to a Conditional Use Permit to allow an on-sale liquor use in conjunction with a restaurant at property located at 516 7th Street. Specifically, the applicant proposes to operate a restaurant and to serve cocktails, beer and wine to accompany the food that is the main product of the proposed restaurant, to be known as “The Social House”. The proposed hours of operation are 11 am until 10 pm, Sunday through Thursday, and 11 am until 12 am on Friday and Saturday. The subject property is zoned Central Business District and is approximately 0.26 acres in size. The space to be occupied by The Social House is situated in the northwestern part of the building, with the storefront facing 7th Street to the west, and has a footprint of approximately 2,420 square feet. The proposed restaurant will be located on the main floor of the building, with the basement used for restaurant storage. A dwelling unit is located above the proposed restaurant on the second floor of the building. Other businesses located at this property include the Tinder Box, B Sharp Cut Company, and Canvas 2 Paint.
