Agenda Item Summary:
On August 4, 2016, the Planning Commission approved a Final Planned Development Overlay (File #16PD035) to allow a conference room and an on-sale liquor establishment in conjunction with a hotel on the property currently addressed as 1902 N. La Crosse Street. AMM Rapid City, LLC has applied to revoke the Final Planned Development Overlay (File #16PD035). The subject property consists of approximately 6.91 acres of land zoned General Commercial District and is developed with a hotel, an office building, and two motels. The applicant intends to demolish the existing buildings and redevelop the site with permitted commercial uses. On July 24, 2025, the Planning Commission approved a Preliminary Subdivision Plan application (File #25PL050) to create 5 commercial lots on the property. As a part of that application, a Traffic Impact Study was submitted which recommended that a northbound right-turn lane be provided on N. La Crosse Street into the proposed development. The construction plans for the subdivision improvements are currently under review through Development Engineering Plan application (File #25PL077).
