Agenda Item Summary:
On October 31, 2024, the applicant withdrew the application. The applicant has submitted a request to Rezone the property at 3008 Spring Brook Road from Low Density Residential District 1 (LDR-1) to Flood Hazard District (FH). The property is bordered by Sheridan Lake Road to the north and Spring Brook Road to the south and is comprised of 0.68 acres of undeveloped land. The surrounding area is developed with single- and two-family residential dwellings. While the Future Land Use designation of the property is Low Density Neighborhood, the majority of property sits within the floodplain and floodway and is unsuitable for residential development. The Flood Hazard District is established for those uses having a low flood damage potential, and not obstructing floodflows. The proposed Rezone more accurately reflects the appropriate land use for this site, and there is no proposed development of the site at this time.
