Agenda Item Summary:
The applicant has submitted a Rezoning request to change the zoning designation of a portion of the property north of SD Highway 44 between Mickelson Drive and Valley Drive from Public District (P) to Medium Density Residential District (MDR). The area of the property to be rezoned is comprised of 3.55 acres and is void of structural development. The portion of the property proposed for rezoning has an approved Preliminary Subdivision Plan (#23PL118) that subdivides the portion of Tract A of Marshall Subdivision into Lots A, B, C, and D of Western Dakota Subdivision. The Rezone applies to proposed Lots A, B, and C, which are planned to develop with three multifamily residential buildings, one on each lot, and associated parking to offer housing options adjacent to the Western Dakota Technical College campus.
