Agenda Item Summary:
The proposed amendment includes four revisions to RCMC § 17.50.270 Minimum off-street parking requirements, Table D. The following section is proposed to be edited for the following reasons: 1) To modify parking regulations for public utility/sewage treatment sites from 2.50 per 1,000 SFGFA to 1.00 per site. The Americans with Disabilities Act regulations no longer apply to public utility sites. This is the basis for the change. One parking space per site is considered adequate, and it will help streamline building permits that attempt minor improvements to public utility sites.2) To remove a duplicate entry for the parking rate of duplexes.3) Footnotes exist at the end of the parking table. Footnotes b and f do not currently have associated uses they apply to. This amendment adds the footnote b to the uses “auto repair with gas sales,” “auto repair without gas sales,” and “auto towing, body repair and painting.” Footnote b is being added to the use “auto sales new or used”4) To add a colon after the “Schools” category.
