The applicant has submitted a Conditional Use Permit to allow an oversized detached garage that exceeds the footprint of the existing principal structure currently located on the property. The subject property is comprised of 0.22 acres of land zoned Low Density Residential District. The site consists of a single-family residence with a footprint of 1,186 square feet, a detached garage that consist of 522 square feet, and a shed that consist of 160 square feet. The existing detached garage on site will be demolished to make way for the proposed detached garage. The proposed oversized garage will consist of 1,492 square feet and exceed the existing principal structures’ footprint by 306 square feet. Any accessory structure that exceeds the principal structures’ footprint on site requires a Conditional Use Permit application.
