(Update 7/13/2021: All changes shown in bold) On July 5, 2022 the Rapid City Council directed staff to facilitate the acquisition of Tract BR-1 and Lot 57R of Johnson Ranch Subdivision for the purpose of constructing a park. The Rapid City Parks and Recreation Department has agreed to provide amenities and maintain the 1.31 acre property as a City park. On, the applicant provided a copy of a signed quit-claim deed for Tract BR-1 and Lot 57R of Johnson Ranch Subdivision. Since the applicant is no longer responsible for providing a park at this location, they have withdrawn this application. (Update 6/1/2022: All Changes shown in bold) The applicant has requested that the item be continued to the July 21, 2022 Planning Commission Meeting while they work with the City to secure ownership and finalize design of the proposed park. [(Update 4/27/2022: All changes shown in brackets )The applicant is working with the neighborhood to bring forward an amended plan to include additional amenities as discussed during the April 7, 2022 Planning Commission meeting.] The applicant has requested that the item be continued to the The applicant has submitted a Final Planned Development Overlay application to allow a Community Park within Johnson Ranch Subdivision. The subject property, located directly east of Provider Boulevard, is 0.91 acres in size and is currently zoned Medium Density Residential District with a small portion of General Commercial District along the southeastern property boundary. In addition, the property is located within a Planned Development Designation.
