Agenda Item Summary:
The applicant has submitted an Initial Planned Development Overlay application to allow mini warehousing in the General Commercial District. The property is located near the intersection of Cambell Street and E. Fairmont Boulevard and is currently void of any structural development. The proposed mini warehousing facility will consist of 19 buildings on a 12.11 acre parcel. The total area of the buildings is 132,400 square feet. The project will be completed in 2 phases, with the first phase occurring on the northern portion of the lot abutting E. Oakland Street. Mini warehousing is a Conditional Use in the General Commercial Zoning District and there are additional design criteria required. Since the property is located in a Planned Development Overlay, the applicant has submitted an Initial Planned Development Overlay application. The applicant is requesting two exceptions.
