The applicant has submitted a Variance request to allow 600 square feet of signage in lieu of the maximum allowed 100 square feet of signage. The property abuts West Rapid Street for a distance of 50 feet only allowing 100 square feet of signage. The south side of the property is adjacent to West Main Street; however, the property abuts railroad right-of-way. The applicant is proposing 150 square feet of signage for each of four businesses to be located in the existing commercial building for a total of 600 square feet of signage.
