Agenda Item Summary:
Alderman Biberdorf would like the Council to consider changing the hours where alcoholic beverages can be sold for off-sale consumption and direct City staff to draft an ordinance amendment for consideration and approval of the entire City Council. The current ordinance allows stores to start selling alcohol for off-sale consumption at 7:00 a.m. Alderman Biberdorf is requesting that the ordinance be amended to push back the start of sales to 10:00 a.m. The Council previously considered a similar ordinance amendment, but it was tabled at the July 1, 2020 City Council meeting.
