Agenda Item Summary:
Seeking continuation of previously contracted services related to Rapid City’s Police and Fire Department Co-Response efforts. On September 6, 2022, Council approved allocation of $360,000 in the 2023 Budget Resolution 6550 towards Journey On! Co-Responder efforts. Journey On! responds to non-emergent calls for service for both the Rapid City Police Department and the Rapid City Fire Department, lowering costs for both City departments. Journey On!, Inc. currently provides the necessary services and is willing to enter into agreement with the City to provide a minimum of 240 hours per week of response coverage during the course of this one year agreement.
