Agenda Item Summary:
Revise Paragraph 7.40 of Section 7 - General Conditions of the City of Rapid City Standard Specifications to remove the requirement that the Contractor perform a minimum of 50% of the work. The project consists of multiple subcontractor disciplines and the percentage of work a general contractor will be able to perform is a very small percentage, staff recommends removing this requirement to allow more contractors the opportunity to bid on the project.
